Our Story
Applied AI Mates was founded by Deepak Bignyal after 23 years in enterprise technology across global financial institutions, including 13 years working directly with Australia’s major banks — Commonwealth Bank, ANZ, Westpac, Macquarie and NAB.
Having spent a career solving complex operational problems at bank scale, Deepak saw the same challenge emerging in professional services firms — talented people spending too much time on manual coordination, chasing information and managing exceptions between systems.
Applied AI Mates is built alongside co-founder Ranjana Jha, who brings 20+ years of software engineering expertise across ANZ Bank and the R&D division of Philips — combining deep automation architecture with the engineering rigour to deliver it reliably.
Applied AI Mates exists to bring that same enterprise discipline to accounting and advisory firms, in a way that’s practical and accessible for a growing practice.
